  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wtb: sprint booster for 2009 Genesis sedan or pedal tuner.

Just pulled the trigger on the Sprint Booster after driving the new to me 2015 Genesis sedan for less than a week and not liking the default pedal to throttle mapping in normal or eco modes. I hope you find someone selling a used one because it is worth the $$$ for the daily driving part throttle enhancement. My previous cars were a Honda Civic Si and a Subaru WRX and with Hondata/Cobb tuning solutions I had total control over the pedal to throttle mapping and prefer a snappier throttle response at part throttle cruising.

I kept it in sport mode most of the time since that solved most of my gripes but now I can use normal and eco since the sprint booster enhances all driving modes. Since there are no tuning devices for the 2015 sedan like a Cobb AP, once I looked up experiences with the sprint booster it seemed like it would solve the throttle mapping preference I needed and it did just that.

The Sprint Booster increased my 2015 5.0 fun factor a lot. However, I was skeptical of how the Sprint Booster would actually perform at first in 5.0, but was pleasantly surprised that it actually solved my throttle delay feel issue. The Sprint Booster is well worth the money if you have teh 5.0 and like that pin t your seat acceleration.

I just keep my car in ECO mode with the Sprint Booster set to Race mode level 9 and it accelerates like the stock Genesis Sport drive mode with good gas mileage and smooth ride with the normal suspension setting. Sport drive mode with the Sprint booster level 9 is just a beast and mostly spin the tires from a stand still, but is fun on a open road as the Genesis hit 140mph effortlessly and quickly.

Thanks for sharing what works well for you and I'm experimenting a bit based on your positive experience. My wheels aren't going to break traction like the V8 but the Sprint Booster is making Eco mode very useable and interesting compared to me never using anything other than Normal or Sport during my first week with the car. This is my first automatic transmission vehicle in about 20 years so I'm keeping it in manual shift mode most of the time while cruising to shift based on engine load readings I'm getting from the OBD2 bluetooth module talking to the Torque Android app and the engine feeling like it's creeping towards lugging at low RPM as I'm dealing with a lot of hills in my area. When I let the auto tranny decide to keep the gearing high in the incline areas, the MPGs drop but if I make the choice to drop to a lower gear a bit sooner and keep the lead foot to a minimum the MPGs trend much better for me. Loving the vehicle and moving from budget boxes to something like this even in used form is a big upgrade for me.
