  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spy shots of the long-awaited GV80.

I don't like the button distribution. The Navi dial/touchpad is on top of the gear selector knob, for moving the dial the palm of your hand will need to be resting on the gear selector knob, any wrong movement could lead you to change gears.

Gear shifter knob pops out when needed. Goes down flush when not needed...so not an issue.

Whats odd is the position of the gear shifter selector and the media knob buttons. Your hand has to reach farther to navigate the media functions.

The gear knob from what I’ve seen doesn’t go down. The vehicle shown here is off so I highly doubt that it will go down. As for the touchpad thing that’s flush automatically. It doesn’t retract. Genesis is trying to make it different here where it wouldn’t seem like they are copying anyone.

I guess we will see. I just assumed it would go down (like the Jag...and few others)...since it would be absolutely idiotic for it to be sticking up all the time :(

I thought the same till I realized the car was off. I think it’s just that Genesis really doesn’t want to be labeled as a copy cat even for the little things like this. They’ve really put a lot of fresh new things in here with materials that I hope that the G70 refresh will get. We can only hope for such a thing.

I just hit 97,000km on my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee and need (want) to replace asap! I am just holding out for the official release of the GV80 to see if it can tow my trailer. And I guess that it actually looks good and is a decent price, but I am counting on that. Can't wait for the official release, this is killing me!

Love all the updates @I'm genesis fanboy ! Keep em coming!

I really hope they unveil the GV80 soon... all these camo spyshots are a nice sneak peak but feels like the camo is never coming off.

After these last photos, she may as well go straight to dealers. We've pretty much seen everything now. Only thing we haven't seen is a normal paint job on the production body.

Screen is to far from the driver so the screen won’t be touchscreen. Seems like it will have a BMW like System where it has a dial. Also the lower screen could be for the HVAC system or hot keys for what the touchscreen has.
Thought about the nav screen a bit more. I am not sure if you are correct on it not being a touchscreen.

I just watched a review of the 2020 G90 (redesigned). The nav screen is huge...and quite far from the driver. Yet...it is indeed a touchscreen. But it can also be controlled by the wheel.

Perhaps the GV80 will also have both.

Really won't know for sure...everything is pure speculation at this point.

^ I agree with this, it would be highly unlikely that the nav screen is not a touchscreen given it seems just about everyone is offering one. My guess is that it will be similar to BMW and others where inputs can be given three ways: controller, touch and voice.

Very true I started thinking about it yesterday and it could be the case. Hoping it has both but if it doesn’t then I’m sure some people will not be happy about that.

I would bet money it'll be touch screen. If they want to be competitive, it has to be. Days of none touch screens are in the past.
