  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spy shots of the long-awaited GV80.

Has any article/leak mentioned if air suspension will be an option?
There was an article which said Hyundai Mobis had successfully developed air suspension similar to Mercedes’ magic air ride. It uses a camera and navigation to setup the suspension before it encounters road conditions. It was a while back that I read it, but I’ve seen it a few times and I think it said the new Genesis models may receive it or a version.

Not exactly like Mercedes yet. They successfully developed an Air Suspension system. And they're working on the system with the camera for the next year. Probably won't make it in the Genesis in time. Article below..

There was a different article that was in Korean and it said it was like Mercedes. I don't know if that's true, it also showed parts for an inline six cylinder diesel. We will find out soon.

Hi Guys, been following you guys for a while, but new on the chat, I wanted to know if genesis will offer the gv80 in a sport package? Kind of what they did with the g80 as we have a g80 sport? I currently drive a f15 X5 m sport, my lease is ending in 2020, looking forward to seeing the gv80, again thx

Welcome to the forums 🙂
Some Korean websites talking about this but nothing confirmed yet, and it's hard to figure that out from spy images. Anyway, it will be unveiled on this coming November we will know everything very soon.

I dont mind the two spoke steering wheel on the gv80. Not as fugly as typical two spoke steering wheels.
If the rumour is true about GV80 getting the new 3.5TT engine, I hope Hyundai/Genesis has done meticulous testing on the engine.
They messed up quite badly in 2012 when they introduced the new 5.0 NA V8 and 8-speed transmission.

Overall, I am very excited and cannot wait for the GV80 to come out. From the spyshots I have seen so far, it looks like it is going to be a gorgeous SUV.

Hi all, been lurking for a while. I don’t have a genesis, but was considering either the g70 or next g80. I happened to get invited to a research study comparing the gv80 to some competitors, so have seen the production (or very close to production) version. Let me just say that this thing has presence. The spy pics by now have uncovered quite a bit of what the real thing looks like. One thing I would like to mention are the side strips behind the front wheels. Not too sure if I like them but they do look cool when the turn signals are on. Otherwise they just look like a pair of stretched chrome C’s if that makes sense. Also, we were given different hypothetical pricing scenarios and asked for feedback. The spec used had a 2.5L turbo, and it said 300hp and 311 lb-ft. Not sure if these are indeed the final numbers for the new engine, but that’s what they had posted. Hope this info helps those who are waiting for the GV80, including me now 🙂
