  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spy shots of the long-awaited GV80.

2020 Sonata. N Line should be 290hp.

295hp, better be AWD standard, or getting off the line will suck.

That sonata looks awesome. Unlike the lately active thread police.

The new Sonata has really impressed me Exterior and Interior. A lot of Journalist say that the interior looks and feels like a Genesis product.

I like to peruse dealer lots on Sunday (when they're closed) to check out the cars. I sat in a 2020 Sonata that happened to be unlocked and was thoroughly impressed. It's not quite Genesis levels but it's sooooo close. I also checked out the interiors of a few Honda's and VW's and the Hyundai beat them by far.

Reported by Korean Car Blog earlier this morning....
Link to Article

"According to Hyundai Motor sales representatives, the GV80 2.5T gasoline is priced at KRW 58.5 million ($49,120) to 63.5 million won ($53,315), the GV80 3.5T gasoline is 70 million ($58,776) to 80 million won ($67,163) and the GV80 3.0D diesel is 64.5 million ($54,158) to 82.5 million won ($69,272). Gasoline will be added next month after diesel models are released this month."

Much more info in the link above. The side profile shot is looking very clean. There is also some additional information regarding the luxury options that will be available for the interior.

Too many lights and vents in that front fender IMHO. Looks big.

They serve a purpose though. When you go back to the parking lot with 200 other black SUVs you can distinguish yours by the fender vents. Maybe its just me, but most seem to be black and looks similar, sort of like a box. Not that I have a suggestion to do better unless you add '59 Caddy fins or something.

I really like it. It's supposed to be big. GV70 will be smaller.

This is just a rendering....

Yes, nothing in the link included any additional (leaked) photos. It's one of the better side-profile renderings I have seen thus far regarding design features and dimensions.

The interesting take away was the price around $49,200 for the base 2.5T package. I will need to check BMW's site, but even that number is around $8,000 to $9,000 less than the base X5 if I'm not mistaken. I do believe a sweet number for Genesis USA would be approximately $47,000. I guess we will have wait and see in 2020.

If correct, the comments regarding 5 and 7-seat configuration (Front 2 + Second Row 3 + Rear 2 seats) seem logical. I'm not sure that the wheelbase will be optimal for the second row having captain's chairs and the third row seating 3 (such as a Telluride or Palisade). 2 larger size third-row seats does make sense.....I just hope the option for captain's chairs will be available in the US (although that does seem doubtful based on the latest info).

Reason why the X5 is more expensive base wise is because it doesn’t have a 4 cylinder as it’s base engine. You get the Inline 6 as base then move on up to V8 engines.

It is, but I bet it's pretty close. We've seen just about everything else at this point and this seems to go along with the actual photos that have leaked. I seriously doubt it's going to be drastically smaller than that and the person commented that it looks big. The GV70 will be the smaller of the two. If they don't like big SUVs, the GV80 probably isn't the model for them.

GV80 will be about the size of the Palisade, I’m pretty sure the specs were leaked on here or KCB. The Palisade is a lot smaller in person as opposed to how it looks in pics.

I just hope it has a usable 3rd row unlike the X5 and GLE if they are comparable in size.

But gutless engine until the n-line and lots of road and tire noise. N line will fix the engine but interior cabin noise keeps it sub entry luxury

Actually that’s not a rendering. If you go to Hyundai’s website and go under the Vehicles tab on Desktop, you can see there is a tab there for Genesis. This picture is basically what will go on that page once the vehicle gets revealed.

Here’s the video showing it is a render:

Easily the most realistic rendering available. Looks damn good too. Thanks for sharing, Aura!

My son is a Product Designer, and went to school for automotive design. He says that most of the manufacturer's car pictures are actually renderings. The software they have, especially now, is incredible. He showed me renderings I couldn't believe weren't real.
