Starting Android Auto

My VW CC would go straight into Android Auto when I plugged in my Pixel. The G70 makes me press the AA button on the display (this is a textbook 1st world problem.) is there a way around this?

Set the Favorites button (star) to AA.

While only a slightly different way to get around the scenario I did the same as Dpaulc, just mapped to the physical button. I'm usually pushing that as part of my set up. It's right above where the phone sits or worst case I'm going left to right turning on seat heat and the like this time of year. ;-)
