  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

you mean it takes more effort to turn the steering wheel?
it's built that way, and i like it, but my wife doesn't as her car is lighter effort.
don't worry, i think you will get used to it.

thats right!
My wife has a problem with that

This is the kind of thing to test and research before purchase.

We haven;t got use to it and hate it. I am being honest when I say it takes more effort to turn the wheel as well as hold it in a turn that our 2011 Doge Ram 1500. And more than the 2007 Peterbilt truck at our shop - honestly.

It is very tiring for us on long trips. And the steering isn't as precise as the truck. The electric power steering doesn't offer a lot of useful feedback.

As I stated before. This is why test drives and research are so important before buying a car.

I have noticed that my Genesis steering is "heavier" then any power steering car I have ever owned. My wife, who is the primary driver of the car, has not mentioned any dislike for the steering.

I found that the heaviness of turning is also based on the tire type on the car. I have the new General GMax and noticed that it was harder to turn. Frankly, my wife and I like it like this. The car seems more planted to the road.
