  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is regarding my 2013 Genesis R spec 5.0. I have had this car in for alignment 4 times in one month. Each time the steering wheel is centered when it leaves the shop and each time the wheel will gradually cant over to the left about 10/15 degrees. Each time the tires where found to be in alignment and only the steering wheel need to be centered. Once the wheel alignment was knocked off when I hit a depression in the road. Has anyone had this problem and if so, did they find a solution?

Could be a suspension component.
Are your tires wearing evenly?

Thanks for the reply. Not sure about the tire wear. I have only had the car a few months. If it was a suspension component other then the steering linkage, wouldn't it be out of alignment? I am thinking something in the steering column or the electronics. Someone told me there is a plastic gear in the column. I wish I had an exploded view of the column.

Did they make sure the hind joints are tight on the steering linkage?

Thanks for the reply. If they did not lock down the hind joints wouldn't the toe be out of alignment?

Jerrycan,
Was your issue ever resolved? I have am having a similar issue with my 2020 G80 sport. The steering wheel is slightly offset. Tech indicates that alignment is within parameters. Thanks.

Most regular alignment shops are not really well versed with Genesis Specifications even though they claim so Personally I would probably prefer a dealership over a regular shop for alignment
