i just had my wheel straightened (via 4 wheel alignment) as it's "resting" center position was at "12:30" as opposed to "12:00". the tech had to align it 3x before he took me for a ride showed me the printouts. the first was the way the car was (at 87mi) two front wheels and right rear out of spec, second within spec (green) and third was even tighter .01 left .06 on right (front) iirc. hyundai gave him specs (talked to engineer) and those specs still had car going straight with the center at .03 (almost perfectly at 12:00) so he just tweaked it within the limits and it tracks true (as it always did, strange for the alignment being out) and the wheel is dead on balls lol. tech had 22 years in hyundai. started in '88.
the tech also asked me if i felt the car fighting itself i said i didn't he said he did (before first alignment) and said the ride is way better now. i can't tell, other than the wheel being straight up and it not pulling (never did but i was afraid with them messing with it) i am happy.
he also told me there was a new coupe that was built in alabama delivered today that the slave cylinder was almost empty, leaked out because SOMEONE didn't tighten the screw?? comon man.. they put the guy in a new one (like they did to me) but imagine having to eat that car? i would be wondering whether or not everything else was tightened.
