  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Finally got some sun and warm weather and the free time to act on it - washed the Genny and snapped a couple quick pics.

The sun still sets quickly so not the best light, but who doesn't love a clean car?

Did you remove or move the Genesis name off the trunk? Usually it comes on the right side of the trunk. I moved mine to the left and added the BH380 on the right. You can see my pics in the owners lounge area and rebadge complete thread.

Yes, I removed all the lettering from the back, and replaced only the Hyundai H with the Genesis wings on the trunk lid.

It's probably needless to say, but it does look very sharp. I never get tired of looking at this car! I wish I could buy another one and put it in a vacuum container for at least 25 years.

The pics look bangin'!

Love the barn sliding doors as well!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Looking good! I really love the color. This was my first exterior color choice, but I wanted black interior and all the ones they had w/ this exterior color had the tan interior.

Picture of my Titanium Gray Genesis (2nd from the left) on the day I took delivery, next to the Sterling Blue. :)

Sayantsi, what a beautiful car! I think if I were to have one, I'd like my gennie to be a little bigger in the front. :D

Oh, wait...

Stunning color, that blue. Never seen one in person, but I can tell how good it looks.
God, I love those wheels.
Still need to verify the fitment on V8.

I remember staring at this very picture for what seemed like hours as i tried to decide between blue and silver...

At first, i wasn't sold on the V6 wheels, but then I saw them in motion, and they look really good imo - the way the chrome pieces catch the light makes them look great.

I really like the symmetry of it with the GENESIS logo removed from the back.

You just gave me another project...and I'm remembering what a PITA it was to remove the glue from under the flying H. argggghhh...

Try a little Goo-Gone. Make sure you get the regular stuff, not the Extreme version. Available at most stores such as Walmart, etc.

The problem wasn't so much that I left a little glue....it was that it was really difficult to separate the logo at the glue. I ended up cutting through the rubber cushion above the glue. Then I had to peel that off, before I could use any product to remove the glue.

Here's my SBM (w/cashmere interior). I love the color.

This happened with me as well - the majority of the tape was left on the car - too much for Goo Gone to lift. Patience and a finger nail are you best tools - it takes time, but do it correctly and you'll love the results!

Fwiw, the Genesis lettering basically fell off in my hand compared to how difficult the H badge was to remove. You should have an easier time of it.

I much preferred the V6 wheels from the get-go.
That's why I was trying to see if the dealer would let me switch the V8 wheels for a set of V6s. No dice. :(
