  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The glove box sticks closed because the two black plastic release pins located on both sides of the top edge of the glove box which move inward toward the center of the box when the latch button is pressed get dry and stick(hang). Happens more often in very dry air. I sparyed a little silicone spray in the holes that the latch pins go into and on the pins. If you don't have silicone spray you can use a little clear tire dressing like black magic. This stopped mine from sticking and that has been over two months ago now. Hope this helps out. Going to the dealer for this kind of issue takes to much of my time when I can fix it in less than five minutes.

Great recommendation:) I'll have to give it a try and see how it works.

I've gotten into the habit of just pushing down on the glove box with my index finger while I push the release button with my thumb.

My main problem with the glovebox is when I open it (rarely) in the dark. I usually push the lock instead of the button just to the left of it. I always forget that the button is not part of the lock mechanism.
