  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone with the G80 ultimate have a problem with the center armrest getting stuck and won’t come down. If anyone has any remedies please let me know. Thanks

Does the release handle seem to let go when you pull on the handle? I noted if you try to lower the arm without using the access handle, the lock doesn't release.

Having the same issue.

are you just puling on the latch, or unlatching and then pulling? It works like a door in a house: If you pull really hard on the handle, then try to unlatch, the pulling pressure adds friction to the latch mechanism and binds it up. If you operate the latch and then pull, it's easy.

The arm rest is the same. I find if I pull with my finger tips on the latch itself, and use my thumb to push back on the arm rest assembly to prevent the arm rest from moving forward (preventing it from binding the latch mechanism), then it pops right out easily and quickly. If I just pull hard on the latch, it binds 100% of the time.

No that’s not it. You can tell - due to the lack of any resistance or sound whatsoever - that the linkage attached to the handle has become disconnected, therefor the handle is now useless.

That sucks. I watched my younger kids struggle with mine, that's how I discovered the binding issue. They'd yank hard on it over and over because it wasn't opening for them. I wonder if this design feature (flaw) would lead to breakage eventually.
