  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I can do a search and find a poi no problem but for the life of me can't figure out the sequence for putting in a street address on my navigation on a 2016 Genesis.
Thought it should be House no....Street no..... City ....and then state but it keeps telling me it's not found, this in Phx.az
Any help on the sequence greatly appreciated!!

I have had the exact same problem in Tulsa,Ok. Also, I found that the GPS will sometimes send me to a street when I request a "place" address, or that it will tell me that I have arrived about 10 houses before the destination (this makes it difficult to find the right house when you cannot see the house numbers at night) . As with most GPS systems the calculated route can sometimes take me all over a neighborhood instead of selecting the most direct route. I have decided that my 10 years old hand held Tom-Tom does a much better job at no yearly cost, and i have not renewed the Hyundai my GPS subscription this year.

PS: when I get the invalid address message, I try to use a different street number, or the name of a close by street, and that usually solves my problem.

I find it easiest to enter state, then town, then street address. I have not tried it, but can you just say the address to google via the middle blue link button?

The sequence of input should always be state first in order to verify it is set to the desired state. Don't just assume it is.

Say, Ragner, how about an appropriate thread title so as not to waste people's time in topic searching?

Think I figured it out,I was adding the direction as in S,N, E
In the address, left that out completely and the correct directions popped right up lol.

If you have kept that subscription, then yes the Google works great. You can also send destinations to your car via the Genesis or Hyundai APP, or myhyundai web site.
I find the voice input on the NAV itself spotty at best.

If you have the 8" sytem (AVN 4.5 without the jog wheel), you can upgrade to Apple CarPlay, or Android Auto. The voice input on these are very good for when you need to input while driving, especially if you don't have the Blue Link Google guidance subscription.

Direct input into the NAV is not difficult, but... best done by passenger, or parked.
