  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Stinger 3.3T recall, think it will apply to G70 3.3Ts?

I'm having mine fixed on 5/21 at a new dedicated Genesis dealer about 30 minutes from my house. I'll report back. The way I look at it is if they screw something up, they are on the hook to fix it until it's whole/correct.

Seems like the 19-21 G70 3.3Ts would also have this same affected part, anyone hear anything further?? Hopefully it's easy to access and repair/replace.
I only today got my recall in the mail LOL good thing in 4 years no fire.

Too bad it won't make the car faster HAHAH

I read after posting, wth they are going to pull the engine out!!!!!! It says they are fixing it not just inspecting it.

FFS I have a secondary down pipe on my car and so far no dealer cares but watch them try to say something.

No engine being dropped, they have a tool that allows them to get access to the rear oil tube mounts.

Had mine done this past Friday. No issues at all. Engine bay looked untouched.
Glad what you can see up top looks good. If you do your own oil changes, next time check the undercarriage pan hardware and if you remove that see how the bottoms of the engine look? No tell tell signs there then your dealer gets a A+.

I think it is all about the top part that has to be removed to get to the pipe so may not be too much that they have to address at bottom end.

Nice to hear it went well, mine's still scheduled for the 1st of July, I think I'll go ahead and get it done rather than put it off since we don't get to Vegas more than 3x a year.

As I have looked at mine from the top, I see two steel lines sort of connected with each having banjo bolts for the left hand turbo. I assume we have both a supply oil line and a return oil line? Looks as if both oil lines come off together. Anyone know if that is true or if the steel lines are separate or not? Thanks.

Check post in this link, they are separate.
And post #6 to see the actual feed tube that failed.

Thanks. Was looking at the wrong line so now have some clarification on the correct line to watch out for.

Anyone here from Canada have theirs done yet? Are they still dropping the engine or have the Canadian dealers sourced the special tool to do the recall in place.
