  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If you don't have an owners manual, you can log on to www.myhyundai.com (free registration) and download the owners manual with all the tire and wheel specs.

Once you get the right wheel and tire size, you can go to Discount Tire website and see what alternate sizes will fit your wheels.

The Base trim model used 17 inch rims, and the Premium and Tech Package (and V8) had 18" rims. Check the Owners Manual for the exact OEM sizes. The Owners Manual is the definitive source. I explained above how to get a PDF version, if you don't already have one.

The 17 inch wheels have 225/55R17 stock and the 18 inch size is 235/50R18. The 225s you ordered should be fine as the size difference is very minor and they'll be all the same size.

225/50R18 is 1.5% smaller diameter than the stock 235/50R18. That is probably OK for a winter tire, but I would use the stock size (or equivalent size with same diameter) the rest of the year.
