If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There are dual coil positive and negative wiring on the sub. They are green and black. Which one is positive and negative to wiring the loc positive and negative to?

There are a few threads with adding a power amp in between the stock amp and sub with wiring diagrams... you might want to search for those

Here is the 14 speaker diagram. Connector A pins: 12,13(+) and 25,26(-). It seems like you have the 14 speaker setup with the dual coil subwoofer.

Here is the 17 speaker diagram just in case. Connector A pins : 4(-) and 5(+)

This schematic is 1/2 of the speaker wiring for the 2015 Ultimate (17 spkr). Looks like they may have planned on partnering with JBL at one time. Sub wiring is Gry/blk=pos, Lavender(?)/Org=neg. No dual coil here. Amp to speaker wiring Lex 1.jpg

So I got it to work. Another question is why doesn't the amp turn off when you turn car off? Isn't the loc supposed to detect no sound therefore don't send 12v to amp?

Also where do ya find a good spot for the ground wire in the trunk for the amp?

Which wire does remote go to? Couldn't you just tap the wires going into the subwoofer?

By the way, the amp only has two connectors.
What speaker system do you have? 9,14,or 17 speaker setup?

Yes, I could have just tapped the rear deck subwoofer, but I needed the remote wire for my aftermarket amp as well so I just tapped them all from the stock amp.

Here is my 17 speaker amp. It has two wire connectors and one digital connector.

I used this spot in my Genesis for my amp ground just behind the rear seat on the floor pan.

My LOC automatic sensing feature did not work; so I bypassed it. I used a remote wire that goes to the aftermarket amp that I tapped from the factory amp accessory pin. I have the 17 speaker setup. Worked for my setup.

Did you have to drill a new hole? I don't see a existing screw hole there?

Yes. I used a self tapping metal rated screw.

Anything under there that I should be worry about? How long of an screw did you use?

I do not know exactly, but it seems to be nothing under the floor pan in that area based on an visual inspection. I used a 1 inch long screw. You can use another spot after you do some research before you drill.

If you have to take out the sub. Did you have to take off positive n negative or what did you do to make it more portable?

To remove the subwoofer/amp I disconnect it from the power/ground completely and then remove the power wire off the battery. However, this is a permanent type of install which means I never remove the subwoofer unless I need to repair something. I even have it strapped to the rear seat board so it does not move. You can use a smaller setup if portability is your concern.

My sub and amp are one package.
