  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I know the stock tire is simply 245/45R18 96 w, but I am contemplating if I should go with the ...XL 100W since I have it already but thanks to this forum because I saw the OE tire sold at tirerack.com. I am only changing one front tire due to bubble. Should I pursue installing the one I have now or return it for the OE tire ? Thanks for any input. BTw , not eligible for the tire recall.

Why are you not eligible for the tire recall?

I would buy one to match what you currently have on the car.

I did not ask, When I called, the rep asked me for the VIN and after running it , he said , my car is not affected on the r ecall program.

That may be misleading. The tire change is not an official "recall," but an optional "campaign" to replace tires if customers complain about the flat spots. Call them back and specifically mention the tire flat spots. If they say no, call another dealer (you don't have to take car to purchasing dealer to get warranty service).

If your dealer told you that you are not eligible for the voluntary tire recall/replacement, call the Hyundai customer service number. I believe that they have previously said that all 2015 Genesis are eligible. Be sure to keep your old (replaced) tire until this is finally determined.

The Hyundai customer service number was the one I called .
