  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys, 2012 R spec 5.0 here. I've had issues with park assist randomly coming on and off even with nothing in front of me. I usually just brush it off as electrical gremlins cause it does work good when approaching curbs and things. But this time all I did was pull up to the bank and all the sudden it starts beeping like it does in the video when I turn the car off and on (the beeping different than the seatbelt chime..) and the display keeps showing like an object is in front of me, even at a red light when I was the only car there....

Anyone experience this before or solve it? I am resetting the battery right now to see if that will fix it.

Oh yea buddy mine did the same thing when coming to a stop and once you accelerate it goes away. It cost me like $400 at the dealership to get the front sensor replaced since the arrow is in front and not off to either side. I remember saying oh that’s nice I have $1200 worth of sensors on my front bumper 🤣

The battery reset made it go away but man that's expensive

It might of temporarily went away but it will be back. I dealt with it for as long as I could before I had enough of it pissing me off but yea not cheap....

Did you make sure there's not a splattered bug on one of the sensors?
