  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all,
First post! I have this strange warning light in my multifunctional display. It’s using the light from the parking indicator but that system is turned off. It has an annoying beeping with it. Seems to be connected to when I press the brake but I tested the brake light in that corner and it is working normally. I’ve attached a photo. Anyone know what this is? 2012 3.8 sedan.

That's the left rear Parking Sensor. Might be showing you a sensor fault or interference from another car. Teslas and BMWs are known to cause parking sensor interference and light them up (e.g. while stopped at stoplights, etc).

I didn't know it was possible while the system is off, but you never know. Might just be throwing a fault.

Weird. It also stopped doing it. I guess it’s just a little intermittent thing I’ll have to live with. I inherited the car from my dad so I can’t ask him if this is something he’s been dealing with for a while.

It has spread to a second sensor now (middle rear). It seems this may be a common issue as I found other posts about it. I have also been having to jump start the car recently, and so I wonder if this is somehow killing my battery. On a side note, when I jumped the car yesterday and came home from driving, the rear sunshade went up randomly when I put the car in park. I hope this isn't the start of a lot of issues, but the car is nine years old.

I am thinking of just pulling the parking sensor fuse for now, as hearing three beeps every time I come to a stop is super annoying. Anyone know what fuse it might be and if anything else might be affected? I couldn't find it in the fuse descriptions in the owner's manual.

Just shut off the parking system switch with the "p"on it lower left on dash
