Stumped on AC issue!

Hello!

Recently the AC in my 2020 g70 has mostly gone out. The passenger side can get very slightly cool but the other vents are just room temp. I checked the pressure in the lines and it is fine so there isn’t a leak. Also, the compressor is running. At this point I have no clue! The heat works fine… but it’s summer here in Florida!

Is there any way to try resetting the system? I thought maybe it could be a blend door issue but there’s one for both sides. So the odds of both failing is low.

I just checked the low pressure and it’s at 55psi when 85 degrees outside. I don’t have a gauge capable of checking the high side. I thought correct pressure on the low side was sufficient to determine there is no leak.

You really need to see what both pressures are while the compressor is running to make a determination about the health of the AC System.

No, not nearly enough. At this point, you don't even know if the compressor was pumping or if the expansion valve was working. 55 PSI on the low side could still be low refrigerant if it isn't pumping. (Though that probably wouldn't be the only problem.) It seems like you aren't too experienced with refrigeration. If you plan to diagnose this yourself, I think you need to start by googling the basics and working your way up eventually to the service manuals for the 2020 G70. Are you willing to invest in the tools required to properly do this? It might be better to just take it somewhere...

Yep, like the dealer, should still have some of the original warranty left unless you're over 60k miles.

Might be something in the system though, not the refrigerant. At any rate, good luck OP hope you get this taken care of
