Hello all,
I own a 2018 Genesis G80 3.3T and I just hit the 50,000-mile mark. For the last 2000 or so miles in the low rev range between 15-25 miles an hour, I feel an "antilock break-like" pulse coming from the pedal. Once the speeds get up the pulse goes away like highway driving it does not manifest at all. There is no performance loss as it still feels as it should power-wise, but there is just a stutter or pulse when pressing the accelerator pedal at those speeds. I was just at the dealership and was told "It is operating under normal conditions", but the technician certainly felt it and confirmed so. This also just had its 50,000-mile tune up so everything maintnance-wise is under control.
Has anyone else had this issue on the 3.3T? This is my first direct-injection car so my first thought was valve build-up, but I think I would have seen a drop in mpg and performance. Could this be a tuning issue or maybe an ECU reset could fix this? I do "spirited driving" but do not abuse this car and my typical driving routines are long 50 mile commutes if that helps.
Any info would be great if you might have insight. Thanks for reading!
