So having subwoofer and amp package from previous wrecked vehicle reinstalled in a couple of weeks. Was thinking of swapping from existing vented box to sealed and wanted to know if a shallower box for space saving is feasible and will sound okay. Here is current setup.
I swapped out the Kicker CompR sub that came with that vented box for a CompQ sub of the same size BTW.
I was thinking of swapping the box for something like this?
Was thinking of securing it with velcro to surrounding trunk walls for a shallower setup leaving more trunk space. Was also thinking of having the tech flip the box so the sub faces into the vehicle and I could open the trunk pass through door at the rear seat for a bandpass effect and make the bump extra loud. A
Any thoughts on if a box like this is a good idea in a sedan and the sound difference? I wanted a sealed box as I'm hoping for tighter bass response than from the vented box.
