  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Sudden acceleration

So you seem to think this can't happen and people are just making it up? Are you a cover up guy for Hyundai? NCSA Publications & Data Requests. It happens quite often.
Please go back and read the actual reports of the complaints that you linked to. Yes, people often claim unintended acceleration. It almost always is determined to actually be that the person pressed the accelerator pedal when they thought they were pressing the brake pedal.

From the first report:
"The police crash report stated that the Kia driver may have suffered a sudden and acute medical episode that precipitated her loss of vehicle control. After SCI inspection, EDR analysis, and crash reconstruction, the circumstances of the control loss aligned with a pedal misapplication by the driver."

Do I need to quote all the other reports too?
