  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have recently had both rear struts replaced! When pulling out of a parking lot I ran over a small shallow depression in the pavement which was the depth of one new road surface over another from repaving. When doing so it sounded like the strut and whole wheel assembly hit the wheel well and it made a tremendous noise. This happened to both myself and the service manager who drove the car over the same area. His initial response to me was "I will need to drive a new Genesis over the same area to see if this is normal" -- WTF

After I sent a lengthy email to Hyundai about this and other problems, must have deemed this as not normal and replaced both rear struts.

I also have had the same porpoising (over bouncing) issue with the front end for a few months now and no one at the dealership can confirm this after driving my car. This occurs over smaller bumps at all speeds over approx. 25 mph. One would think that when the rear struts have been replaced that the front one should be tested to make sure there is not a problem but this has never been done even after three times reported.

Has anyone else had these problems and successfully had them solved?

My 2017 G90 has a constant front-end vibration at most speeds -- enough to see the dash vibrate -- and so far all my FL Genesis/Hyundai dealer has done is replace different tires on two different occasions. A different Hyundai TN dealer recommended I buy all new tires. I did and still have the problem, the car has under 10,000 total miles. Any ideas on how to get the dealership to test the struts, etc.?

You're not the only that has noticed that issue - Our 2017 Genesis G90 Soothes, Cossets, and Generally Impresses for 40,000 Miles

Sell it! My 2015 rocks side to side, like the tires, are going indifferent direction. Only has 56,000 miles 4 set of tires and rides like it's 100 years old. Not to mention the computer has been replaced 2 times. The back right tire always sounds and fills like it has a bounch In the corner. So sad I payed that much money for a lot of problems. Never again! No more Hyundai for me.

hooscfp...did your issue ever get resolved to your satisfaction?? if not...another place for the dealer to look is at the rotor/calipers on all the wheels. IF they happen to not be true and are warped....front end movement that you describe could be a possibility

Is the vibration a high frequency buzz through the steering wheel? Does it go away if you are on the highway and are turning through a corner that loads up the suspension? My 2015 had that with 2 sets of different tires. What fixed it was getting the fronts balanced dead on. I feel these cars are very picky when it comes to front wheel balance...

Check a bent rim that will do it
