Was happy to receive my new SD Card in the mail today to upgrade my 2018 G80 Ultimate. Have upgraded it a few times since owning, however today after I inserted the new card, surfed thru the menu and started the upgrade the system froze at 37%. Waited and watched it for over an hour in my driveway with the car running. Normally about a 35 to 45 minute process.

I have now turned the car off, however the display screen still shows the upgrade at 37%. The upgrade display wheel stopped turning also, which is why I assumed it froze.

Any ideas on what to do? Last resort is call customer service for MnSOFT tomorrow when they are open.

Thanks

I kinda had the same problem! mine did not read the card so I disconnected the battery for two hours and it loaded fine after that!

Called customer service at MnSOFT eventually. (1-888-757-0010) Realized they are on Pacific coast so can call up to 9pm est. Service rep was good, however in the end he instructed me to find the small pin hole button to reset the entire system. Mine was located just above and to the right of the CD player. Some resets are on the base control unit by the dial on your center counsel.

The upgrade restarted and finished fine. Took about 45 minutes. In speaking with the rep he also put me on automatic notice for when new upgrade versions are available.

Didn't want to sit in my driveway with the engine running so chose a time when I had a 35 minute or so of engine on driving. The upgrade took almost 40 minutes and every thing is fine. As others have noted, I like the display as well. My G80 is 26 months old from the time I bought it. When ordering the upgrade, it appeared that I would have to pay somewhere around $25, but I was never charged a penny.

You bought around the same time I did, May 2018. You should get 3 years of the free upgrades. MnSOFT will send me an email whenever a new version is available. I have upgraded mine 3 times now since purchase.

I DO like the new display. However, not sure I would pay for an upgrade after March '21 unless it was under $50.

Just uploaded my update. Took about 35 minutes and no problem at all. They sent the wrong version first, but I called customer service and she sent a new one express mail. Very satisfied. She also let me keep the sad card that was the wrong one. It is for the 8 inch screen. Anyone want it they can have it. It is for a 2018 G80 Sport.

35+ mins is quite long.
Only takes about 20 mins on the G70.

43 minutes for v13+v14 map updates on my 2018 G80 Sport.

G70 smaller than G80. Smaller maps, smaller download, faster (accelaration and map install) ;)
