  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Now that the 3 year leases are being returned, the price for these wonderful vehicles are priced in my range. Would love to purchase, but reading some of the forum comments regarding Pano creaks/rattles/replacements and other electronic issues has me jumpy. These problems may be associated with only a few of the thousand cars out there. My plan is to buy a CPO with less than 20K miles. Just need help to pull the trigger!

Given the problems you described with the 2015, you might wait and get a 2016 when you can afford one.

You should talk to a Hyundai car salesman, not an internet forum.

Yeah, and while you are at it, just sign the sales contract with no numbers on it and let the salesman fill in whatever he/she wants to for the price.

OP says he is looking for 2015, not 2016. I think 2016 would be much better from a reliability point of view.

That's what I just did. I've been looking at the Genesis since previous generation so it's been 3-4 years now but I finally got it.
Biggest problem - actually find an Ultimate when it comes to market as descriptions are usually pretty bad. Luckly, CARFAX reports have MSRP at the very first entry so go for it first if it's posted.

I got my 15 ultimate with 9k miles, so far no issues that I know of, there was a rattle but it wasn't the pano roof it was the overhead console with all the switches and sunglass holder. I took it apart put some high density foam in a few spots and its been quiet. Otherwise car is flawless.

I'm with Lord H.
Absolutely Positively love our 2016 Ultimate!
Of course I've only had it 1 1/2 years and don't have 7000 miles on her yet🤣
But have to say we had not a single solitaire problem with her! She's been just flawless !!

Edit: well we did have a incident with a dead battery but that may have been caused by a door accidentally left ajar!😔

Bought my 2015 ultimate new, have 36k on it now and still love it! Best car I ever owned. Battery and head unit both replaced under warranty otherwise a very solid comfortable luxury car.

Well, I have a 2015 CPO AWD Tech package and it has been enveloping me in a cocoon of WOW. No complaints whatsoever!

I cant say enough good things about my 15 5.0 Ult. Its a dream to drive, fun and I still think it is one of the most beautiful cars on the road. Everyone who gets in the car is blown away by how nice it is. You wont regret it!

I hear you on that AcerOne, I've to some guys who premium alvish cars and they mention feaatures that my 15 5.0 Ult has and I paid way less than they did. Win for me!

Just picked up a White CPO 2015 5.0 (non-ultimate, wanted Android Auto) for 28k. Car is pristine with only 21k miles. Awesome car!

We've had our '16 awd Ultimate for 8 months and 5000 miles now. No problems so far, and it makes me smile every time I see it!

Mine (1025 Ultra) will be 2 years in another week with 37,000 miles so far. Had a minor radio problem fixed under warranty but otherwise perfect. Best car I've ever owned. I intend to keep it until I get tired of the color and then will get another. I've taken a couple of long trips putting 4000 miles in just over a week and it is a joy to drive.

Oh, forgot to mention. Going up a long hill in the snow with AWD I had no trouble passing other cars spinning their wheels. Also, I live on a hill and it is nice to be able to pull out of my drive and make the top easily.

Problems you hear plenty about, but you don't tend to see much posted from folks like me who have had a positive ownership experience. I've had a '15 5.0 non-ult for 18 months now after picking it up under the superb E-plan discount being offered last spring. It's now at about 14k miles. The car is a joy to drive and the 420hp 5.0 has plenty of power that it delivers quite smoothly making everyday drive-ability of this car very pleasant. I get compliments and questions every few days about it. I tell people that it's my Korean-built Audi A7 that cost a bunch less than the German version.

The only issue I've had so far is they forgot to plug in the connector to the USB port at the factory. Dealer fixed it under warranty and called me about 90 min later.

Bought my 15 Ultimate AWD new and now at 23k miles. No issues. No sunroof rattle (knock on wood). Just returned from a 10 hour each way trip and the car is a gem. 28 mpg driving over 70. My butt isn't sore either.

My only gripe is the cruise control will apply the brakes any time you override the set speed and try to coast back. My solution is to hit the cancel button as I accelerate past my set speed and hit resume once I coast back near the set speed.
