  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I want to install sheepskin seatcovers but that requires the temporary removal of the front headrests. The manual says they can't be removed. Does anyone know how to get around this?

Probably related to the automatic headrest adjustment mechanism when an accident occurs. You might have to cut the sheepskin and then stitch it back together.

The headrest can easily be removed. From the back seat push down on the leather where headrest slides into the plastic support trim at the top of the seat. You will see on one of the plastic post supports is a metal retaining clip. Pull the retaining clip straight out to the side of the seat. Remember which way the clip was installed, it is not semetrical. After removing the clip, the headrest can be removed by pressing in the adjustment latch and pulling up on the headrest. To reinstall put the clip in first then just side the headrest back down all the way, it will lock back in place.

Will the sheepskins be obstructing the side airbags?

My 2012 has no clip and I cannot seem to remove the headrests to install back of seat protectors :/
