  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I stopped at the local grocer with my 6 yr old son the other evening to grab something for dinner. I drive a 2013 Genesis Sedan. A 20-something guy came out of the store and saw us leaving the car and said something that I assumed wasn't directed at me. He said something about "nice Tesla". I looked twice and we were the only ones around and I said "who me??". He said yeah...isn't that a Tesla??

So maybe he doesn't know his vehicles too well but I took that as a major compliment!

Did the guy have a white-tipped cane?

I love the Model S, may get one in a year, amazing car in every aspect.

I think The Tesla S is on many a persons next car list. Nothing like ordering a near $100K car on-line like a package from Amazon.

Funny, I had thought the Tesla was a nice looking car until I saw it side by side with a Genesis. No comparison in styling. Genesis wins hands down.

When I was in Chicago I had the chance to test drive it and learn all about it. Best car I've ever driven to be honest. When I slammed the pedal down to test it, it literally felt like a rocket since there's not all those gears to go through and instant acceleration.

I see Tesla's frequently between Mpls. and St. Paul. Wonder how the batteries do in the winter months?

Electric motors are great in that they offer instantaneous torque, and lots of it.

As long as you don't drive over anything you're fine. :)

Osprey... Do not forget about Michael Hastings... :) and his hacked Mercedes the .gov rammed into a tree at 120, turned off the airbags, overrode the door locks to keep them locked, turned off the fuel pump low pressure override, and burned Michael into ashes (he was likely just about dead from the impact).

He was the US reporter working with Edward Snowden. And he had according to publish quotes from friends a bigger source yet to come.

Either Mercedes has a bad defect, by burning people alone in their cars, or something else. BTW, his model has all the drive by wire bits the latest Prius and Tesla have. And as easy to be hacked as these. Ever seen the video that Forbes challenged the "tin foil hat assertion" about car hacks? Turns out they were wrong as some students in a Notre Dame parking lot proved..

Ok, back to the points... Like HONDA who copied the Genny for the new accord, and Tesla obvious copy of the Genny from the front (combo of the sedan hood and coupe grill) and back (less the roofline), is a testament to the longevity up this Genny design.

Genny was introduced in 2009, designed longer before, and companies like Honda and Tesla copied Hyundai... We have the makings of a classic. One many others copied.

I am not convinced the 2015 exterior will be a repeat of such distinction. I suggest the "open mouth ready to do a BJ" grill design like Audi and the upcoming Genny has no long term design legs.
