  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

doing a test drive today on a G70 2019 3.3T Sport that has 27k miles on it. Anything in particular I should be looking for? Any known issues that might pop up? Thanks.

Open sunroof shade and listen for rattle from sunroof.

* Coolant smell after turning the car off - usually means nothing other than venting but there have been a report or two of a leaking water pump or intake manifold

* Check the bell housing under the car (under tray cover needs to come off) and see if there is any oil seepage. Doesn't happen often but some have reported it. Again, no real impact but I would check..

* Do you care if the car has been previously modified? If so, there are signs you can look for.. Things like checking to see if the plugs are factory or not

I would check these two things:
1) Check for a slight indentation on the trunk lid or the roof. It will look like the panel was pulled from the inside of the car. Several people reported these odd dents. Mine was in the trunk, and I could only see it when the car was clean and the light hit it just right. It took some prodding, but Genesis finally fixed it.
2) Pay attention to how the multimedia screen reacts to inputs and moves between the menus. Within the first 6 months, my screen started to freeze and crash, even giving me the "blue-screen of death" when it rebooted. Genesis replaced the entire screen unit and I have had no problems since.

Enjoy the test drive.
