  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just test drove the R Spec yesterday. I have had a BMW 535 and this blows it away. As good or better than the 550i. To get the same equipment in the 550i would bring that beemer to well over 70,000. AWESOME CAR. Hope to get this one this week.

I agree, I drove the new 550....a bit more balance but the acceleration on the R-spec was at least as good, and yes, $22K less.

Picked up the 5.0 R spec last Saturday -

great car

Traded in an E60 ///M5 for it

and you know what -

The R Spec rides better - smoother - with a more enjoyable - yet gradual power surge through the gears.

handling is just fine by me

pound for pound - BMW can't touch this car
the F10 550i is WAY over priced compared to the R Spec

Great car - in every way

A Dragon in a tuxedo ;)

Anyone know what the 5.0 engine looks like under the plastic?

I am loving mine!!! Totally aimed at BMW 5 series Domination. Drove BMW's of all types for years and can say the taught suspensions and quicker damping equal the BMW's. This Rspec is a real "sports sedan" in Rspec trim. BMW still owns the 'feedback through steering wheel' honors, but if I was blind folded and behind the wheel of each.......could I tell a difference just on steering alone?

I can certainly claim quality fit & finish with all options for at least $22k less. I know there are thicker windows and more options on the BMW, but there is also a major increase in service downtime and additional costs. Clearly, Hyundai has the Germans & and the Japanese on their heels.
