  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have to say "Me too!!" :) I've had slick vehicles before, but my previous car was beloved family member with 250k miles and hangdog looks. Now, nearly a year later, I'm still getting used to this sexy, exotic coupe being mine to enjoy, and the drools from others are a constant pride in keeping it clean. Congrats to all of us ;)

I always park far away from the entrance of my local grocery store and yesterday when I went to do some shopping, I noticed a brand new Mercedes C350 Sport in the stall just in front of me so just for fun I parked a couple stalls behind him.

As I walked back to my car after shopping, I noticed the owner of the Merc about two car lengths ahead of me. Just before he got to his car, he froze in front of mine and circled it like a hawk trying to figure out what it was. Since I have no "H" badges anywhere, I could see he was confused.

Got to my car and he asked me what my car was. I told him. He couldn't believe it! Complimented him on his new Merc, exchanged some car talk, and merrily went our own ways.

Made me smile.:D

To add to what I said earlier in this post, I also find myself taking the long way when I run certain errands. Especially if it involves I quick burst from my right foot. This is a chronic condition. It's my personal contribution to global warming here in the sleet, slush and snow state of MN.

Yesterday was the first time in 2 months I started the car. It is stored for most of the winter.
Took it for a long ride today and observed how the Genny gets noticed by other drivers even after so many years on the market: 2 people in an A6 Avant staring at a stop light; up, down, left, and right. An old Celica on the highway comes real close to my bumper, heads move forward to read the badge. I move over, they drive by r-e-a-l slow and check out the unbadged front (more confusion?) There were others but they were a little more discreet about it :)
After a 2 month absence, it was nice to get into it again.
