  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

At least one dealership in the DFW area has dropped the $2500 "market adjustment", aka rip-off. They'll just go with MSRP now. I'd say give them another month and they'll come to more common senses. For what they're asking, I could easily get a premium loaded Lexus LS430 coming off lease.

I'm glad it didn't take long (about a week) from them to realize that the Hyundai badge doesn't command premium mark-ups.

So, the fish(the consumers) were smart enough to not bite the greedy fisher(Hyundai Dealers) with the bad tricks to lure them in. I hope ALL dealers in US/Canada deals with MSRP, nothing more, since, when it comes to car buying, NO-ONE pays full MSRP anymore. Dealer Invoice price is where the deal should start from.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

That didn't take long at all.. Let's see how long it takes for other dealerships to follow through...

This would be welcome news to GenFan. :)

GenFan is very aware of the recent drop in Market Adjustment from the Plano, TX Hyundai dealer that rhymes with Huffines! GenFan had a aggressive conversation with them today.

GenFan has vowed to never purchase any car from the Plano, TX Hyundai dealer that rhymes with Huffines. Way too many lies from this place. One sales person said that they would be the only ones to receive any allocations of the Genesis. I'll be damn, nearly all of them have them! Time is my friend. I will buy a Genesis soon. I heard on a YouTube video that the V8 should be shipping this week to the USA. I'm not sure I want the V8 but I owe it an opportunity to give its presentation! I also need to give it the opportunity to present its technology features. If I'm prepared to spend $40K, I might as well wait a month and spend $42K!

You may want to check out the Discover Genesis Tour going on right now as part of the Taste of Dallas event. As a thank you for test driving a Genesis, you get a coupon for $500. That's $500 off whatever price you can get from a dealer. :)

Thanks XITRUM! I knew the car was scheduled to be there. I went. I drove the V8 with the Technology Package. Now, I don't see how anything else will do! I thought it was very nice. Powerful is an understatement!

I did get he $500 bonus voucher. I thought that was a nice touch. I can't wait to negotiate a deal on a Genesis and then, at the very last moment, drop that on the salesman! Sounds like fun.

I did notice that the black Genesis at the local dealer we both know about has been sold. Was wondering if you are the proud new owner.

Thanks for the heads up on the $500 voucher!

The v8 Genesis is available already?

Correct. The V8 is just on tour. The people that were giving the test rides and information (not Hyundai employees) said that the V8's with Technology package should start showing up in dealerships in the next couple of weeks.

Interesting to see if dealers try to mark this one up.

That's my plan as well. :)

Did you check out the cooled seat feature? Pretty cool, I'd say! :D

No. I'm holding out for a V8 Tech. ;)

I can bide my time to get a good deal... No need to hurry. Ok, I'll have until the end of the year to use the coupon.

I did. In fact, as I sat down into the car, I hit the button before I closed the door. The guy riding with me said, "I see you already found the cooled seat function."

It worked very well. We have a Avalon with heated/vented seats. There is a drastic difference in our vented seats and the cooled seat of the Genesis. The Genesis system is much more effective.

I too am holding out for a V8 Tech package. I would consider a loaded V6 though. I did not get to drive the V6. All the reviews appear to favor the V6.

BTW, there is a dealer in Mesquite with 13 Genesis. They have had them for a while. I bet a deal can be made there. Unfortunately, no tech packages yet.

Toyota's cooled seats must be pretty weak. The one's in my GS were nothing impressive. Come to think of it, maybe that's why I'm not so fixated on cooled seats. ;)

Lexus' cooled seat is just blowing cooled air. The one in the Genesis uses some gel pack. The difference is night and day.

All cooled seats performed poorly until recently. The first one I ever experienced was in a 2001 Mercedes S430. It sucked. Next was a 2005 Lexus LS430. Much better.. And then "ventilated" seats in a 2006 BME 750Li - even better...

Coincidentally, I was referring to the 2005 LS430 cooled seat. It was no where near as good as that of the Genesis.

I'm impressed then! I thought the 2005 Lexus LS430's cooled seats were very affective.. I'll have to check this out when I test drive a Genesis... I now have the BMW 750Li to compare it to - which so far, is the most noticeable...

You are likely not so fixated on them because you likely do not live in a area that is 98 degrees with 85% humidity. Cooled seats are awesome!

The Avalon is good (really my only experience) but the Genesis system was great.
