  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The next best

The bottom line is, a brake fluid change is a BIG "trust me" from Hyundai.
Time is against these brake systems recalled. If you have brake failure out of warranty and don't crash, Hyundai currently has no obligation.

In the grand scheme of Autos in General, you are probably overreacting a bit. There are likely other parts in Your Current Car that are far worse than the Brake System of the one you just got rid of.

Also, Mechanical Failures in Cars are way down the list in accident cause. The Guy that is texting on his "Smart Phone" that sideswipes you is a far greater danger to worry about. He's still OUT THERE !:(

WOW, Now that's some convoluted logic and nothing to do with the subject of the thread. Ask the owners when their pedal bottom out if they overreacted.

I suspect that the reason brakes didn't make the top 10 is that brakes consistently work on most cars. Not quite so much on some Genesis.

Yup, A whopping 6 Accidents !!

"Hyundai said there have been no fatalities caused by the brake system defect. But the NHTSA has tracked six collisions, including two reports of injuries."

So you think NHTSA learns of every brake failure or even every collision due to bad brakes?

Nope, there might have been a couple more !

You're right! I think I'm going to sell both my Genesis before I die in a crash, as Hyundai just can't be trusted!

Haha, great connection to the quote. That garage is always busy so they must do a poor job.

My 2012 was built a month after the cut off so by dumb luck I missed the recall.

Its crowded and overrun because its the only Hyundai dealership for 50 miles and they cant fix anything right the first time..
