  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got a used 2023 G90 a few months ago. Never really used the rear seats. So, family vacation next week. Used the relax (REST) mode with the door button, and it worked great. Tried it the next day, now none of the door switches (right rear passenger, except the massage feature) WORK? They do make an audible sound when pressed, but that's it. The rear passenger's driver's side seat has no problems. I have tried the front and rear armrest display controls, but the relax mode buttons do nothing; the other features of the seat work. The car is started with the doors closed, and no one or nothing is on the front seat. Would this be a fuse, or am I missing something? Also, a side note, when the rear passenger dome light is turned on(from the driver's display or the rear armrest), the only way to turn it off is to press the button on the light? Is this normal?
Thanks for any help

Sounds like you may have hit the lockout button on the front driver side control buttons? See if that is turned on. That locks out being able to use the windows and doors in the back seat I believe.

Should have an orange light on the driver door panel armrest.

Lock button for the windows and the Electric Child Lock button making you think your car is hosed but is just a feature.

Thanks for the reply...Ran out to the car to check. But not that lucky! It seems the memory functions for the passenger rear right seat do not work. All other seats work! The car gives a tone when the door buttons are held(memory position), but does not work when pressed to recall position, and the rest/reset does not work on the handrest or door, but all motor positions work in manual.

So after so investigating, I found out that when there were 3 people in the back seat, the person adjusting the seat (right rear) was using the memory switches on the door to adjust the seat because the armrest was up, and now I think the seat does not know where it is. Is there a way to reinitialize the seat?

I was just posting this when you replied…..I’d keep thinking simple. Fuse is simple.

Did you try resetting the Infotainment center?

Hold the map and setup button while car is off but accessory mode is on, until it resets.

Have you tried to adjust the rear seat with the front screen controls? You could get it back to “neutral” and then hit the memory buttons in the back seat to reset?

Maybe try a different FOB? Aren’t the memory buttons related to the FOB? One FOB has one profile and the other FOB has another driver profile? Could be conflating car features from Palisade’s.

If it is a memory button issue, call Genesis customer service and ask about resetting profile to clear out or reset the memory profiles? They were pretty good and quick when I called to get my iPhone’s digital key working.

I had my mom and her friend in the car as Christmas Day chauffeur…I got out quickly to drop them off near the front door of my sister’s and was doing quick trips in and out of my sister’s with dishes. They were apparently trapped in the car for several minutes not knowing how to get out. I have no idea what the heck they were doing, maybe the child locks were active, I am not sure, but I can certainly guess a bunch of buttons were being pressed, so I can empathize with your issue.

There is nothing more disappointing having to drive passengers around with the rear armrest up!

Alanis Morrisette would have written this into her Ironic song if she owned a G90!

It is right up there with wearing a condom during sex, having to wear a shirt to go swimming because of sunburn, chaperone on a date, fly in the soup, a par 3 golf course, a dog leg when you want to hit 300 yard drive, two tractor trailers passing on the only uphill passing zone for miles, trying to pass a slow cop car car on a long trip, or someone sitting in your row just as the trailers start in an empty movie theatre!

Thanks again for the info/reply. I will try a reset. The seat moves as it should from the front screen/armrest (with the exception of rest, reading mode). Just no memory set for the rear passenger door (do get confirmation tone). I spoke with the person who was in the back seat, and they were pressing all the buttons on the door to adjust the seat (three people were there, and the armrest was up). It was moving, but then stopped. I am going on a trip with my wife next week (12hours in the car!) and want to throw her in the back seat..lol
