  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have found a few threads on this discussion but nothing of recent time. So here is my definitive coilover and lowering spring thread. Any review of the following suspension components would be greatly appreciated, namely ride quality.

Rigid Collars

There really aren't too many options so if you found something else please let me know so I can include it in the post.

nothing for the 2015s yet...

Hello
I'm a new owner of a brand new gen 3.8 2014
I like the car, but I don't like the handling.
My rear stabilizer bar is
55510-3m351
Front is 548103-3m650
Planning on going to
The Rs s.bars front and rear.
And Rigid Collars.
Do I have to change the bushings and end link as well?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I posted this in my thread in my search for lowering springs but I am posting it here too as this may be the official suspension thread:

I contacted Eibach to see if they are developing any lowering systems for the 2015 genesis sedan. Their response was in all the years that the genesis sedan has been in existence only TWO people have expressed interest to them regarding a lowering system. I may have to go old school and dremel the stock springs. Hopefully it doesn't come to that.

I have been contacted by ARK Performance to test out a near production set of lowering springs for the gen2 2015 sedan. According to them, it is a 1.25"-1.4" drop all the way around. I do not have the specs on spring rates as the guy I spoke with did not know them offhand, and also do not know the accuracy of the quoted drop. I'll try to post pics and keep you guys updated as this progresses.

So far the options I am aware of are below for the DH (2015+) Genesis

1. Storm Springs - Can be purchased from Kevin @ KDMholic
2. Ceika Custom Coilovers - a pricier option but Ceika (a UK based company) can build custom kits for both generations of Genesis sedans
3. ARK Performance - not currently available but in development

Not sure about protocol so I will add my Suspension question/request to this thread.

I have a 2013 Genesis Sedan R-Spec. I love the ride of this car. I would like to drop it a little bit to close the gap from the tire to the wheel well but I am NOT willing to compromise the ride too much. I would like to hear from people that have achieved this goal and what hardware you used to get there.

I did notice that ARK did finish their production version:
arkperformance.com/products/hyundai-genesis-sedan-2009-2013-38l-46l-gt-s-lowering-springs

Given no other input, I will consider these, but I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone that can give first hand experience of their lowering choices that are identical or very close to the factory ride.

Thanks in advance!

I have a stock 2014 3.8 V6 and I think I would be afraid to lower it at all. I have to be careful with driving forward into my driveway and certain speed bumps that obviously some pavement company had a sense of humor.
