  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The Truth About Cars Review

His reviews are usually filled with hyperbolic drivel IMO. I'm actually suprised it was so positive honestly. He loves to bash new cars.

Either way, thanks for posting.

I generally don't read car reviews. I am really no that passionate about my cars. I used to be, but now I just want something reliable, comfortable, fairly luxurious, and fairly powerful. I don't need a Mercedes but I don't want to drive a Civic either.

Why am I telling you this? The Genesis represents everything I want in a vehicle (from what I can tell so far). So, for this vehicle I have been reading everything I can find.

This review came out and I took it as a little negative. Like I said, I really don't read car reviews often. I decided to look at some of the other reviews the site has done. From what I can tell, most of the reviews are written with a negative tone and ALL are filled with sarcasm. This guy has something smart to say in everything he writes.

Genesis V6 Review.

This site usually has good reviews. What do you think?

I think it was a good review. He definitely had some good things to say about the Genesis.

I prefer these type of reviews to some of the other ones posted on this site that seem to be written by Hyundai's chairman. IMO they are much more real.

The comment on the residual is a little lame. BMWs and Mercedes lose at least half of their value in the first 3 years. Hyundai's probably a little worse. Half of $100K is 50, half of $40K is 20. New cars are bad investments. I think the reviewer was reaching a little here.

But this is probably positive, as he had to go to the residual to find a negative issue. He must have liked the car and couldn't find anything big with the car itself.
