  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Great interviews!
Brave new world: Korea, Germany USA... Audi, BMW Isuzu...
Genesis is no longer a Korean car. It is a world car for the world public.

Man I love those wheels.

That power door open would create quite a bit of grocery parking lot drama.

Nice to see those two guys behind the design helm as Hyundai moves up in the world.

I just liked the handle in the fender instead of the door, powered or not.

Back in 12 I drove an Optima - and as soon as I got into it the first thing I thought was "audi a4/a6/vw passat" for the interior styling and design of the late 2000's - especially the seating....

When I got home and found that Schreyer was involved - I knew where it came from.

The same thing happened when I sat in the G2 for the first time. I looked at the dash & seats and immediately thought "5/7 series" - low and behold that design language is right out of Chapman's playbook during his time at BMW.

So while they are both taking queues from their previous work - the meeting of the minds has certainly resulted in some fantastic results. One needs to look no further than the G2, the Sonata and now this Vision G to see the results of that. Now - if they would only get together on the Equus - they could fix that disaster too. It suffers from the exact same problem the early 2010's Mercs do (with the interior on the S class): It tries too damned hard to be posh. It loses the luxury and instead comes across as being tacky. The exteriors are fantastic on the Mercs - and on the Equus.... but the interiors on both need some serious help.

Right now my favorite interiors are the 7 & 5 series, then the G2... but it is a very close race between the G2 and the 5.

Hrm.... while perusing designers a few minutes ago.... I came across Giles Taylor. I KNEW I had recognized the tail light & shouldered wheel flare on the Vision...

I think they are taking CUES from Bentley.
