  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There are no suspension options for 2013+

I''m waiting for confirmation that these will work on the 2nd gen 2015 Genesis. In the meantime I'm still hunting for a suspension product that will actually lower the vehicle too.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I just went on a shopping spree at Uniq Performance. (Thank you Uncle Sam) I picked up a set of their rigid collars, a Sprint Booster AND a set of the Ark GTS lowering springs.

At this point, I've only installed the booster as I want to do the collars and springs at the same time. PN for the springs is LS0704-0910. According to the ARK website, these are for 2009-2013 Sedans 3.8 and 4.6. No mention of the 5.0 R spec I have, however, also no mention these DON'T fit the R specs.

For safety's sake, I'll call Ark and question the R spec fitment and report back unless someone has good intel to the negative.

As for Uniq, I found Rob to be a great guy who always responded to my plethora of questions. Purchased all three from him at what I feel was a very good price. Shipped pretty quick too. If anyone is considering any of the above, send him an e-mail. A rare vendor who returns calls and e-mails.

Just my $.02

Is the point to make the R-Spec ride better or to have it lower? If lower, won't it ride firmer than it already does?

Depends on spring rate whether or not it will rider firmer or softer.

FastDEW1, your answer is........BOTH. As I understand, the ARK springs are a progressive wind and the ride actually improves until the road gets bumpy.

I am very much looking forward to installing them along with the rigid collars. Just have to confirm the fitment on the R spec.

Challenge accepted!

Just called ARK and learned there are no fitment issues with the R specs.

Next thing to do is make a couple calls and get labor quotes. I'm mechanically inclined and have tools up the thing yang, but, I don't want to take on a rental spring compressor.

There you have it ladies and gentlemen, there is a lowering spring option for us Gen 1 sedan owners. Get 'em while you can........

OP said that H&R springs are incorrectly listed on many drop ship sites as in stock, but Amazon says these are available.

The problem is, while sites like this one: http://www.tunersdepot.com/2009-hyundai-genesis-lowering-springs/h-r-sport-lowering-springs-4dr-sedan-60986.html say that these springs are for the sedan, most of the other sites say they are for the coupe.

Sometimes sharing a name with the coupe is a PITA. Aftermarket vendors tend to confuse the two more often that not.

What gives with the H&R springs? Legit for the Sedan or not?

I'm almost certain they are coupe springs. The H&R website doesn't list springs for the sedan.

$1500 isn't bad for a nice quality set of coils

The other options for the sedan are more than 500 dollar cheaper though. Not bad, but far from the best deal right now.

Only coils I know of are the Megan Racing or BC with both getting mixed reviews online. Never heard of Ceika before so I'm not sure what their reviews are either. May be paying $500 more for the same stuff.

Makes me want to reconsider just getting Ark springs and being done with it.

Not sure if that is the same Ceika I bought coil overs for, my 1992 Subaru SVX,
but if it is they quality is pretty decent, though since this car is not the same as the wrx or STi it was a little hairy on fitment for the first batch for this car.

I was one of 5 that initally ordered later orders fit perfectly.

And how it looks on the car

Did a quick search on Ceika and it appears to be the best choice for the SVX. People seemed to be pretty pleased with them. Always thought that car was intriguing.
