Hi everyone,
I don't know if this is normal or not, but i just happened to notice that there is a hole in the bottom of the steering wheel on our 2015 v6. I only noticed by accident because the wheels happened to be in a turned position. It's on the textured dark grey area on the bottom that rotates as you turn the wheel...not on the part you grip and not on the column.
Is this normal? Is it from an injection mold? Is it for unlocking a locked steering wheel?
If not, I have no idea how it got there or when it got there. I bought the car used, so who knows. I also have complained about steering wheel clicking noises (it's a plastic tab) but I would be shocked if the dealership drilled a hole into the steering wheel.
