  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am really intrigued with the cost to value ratio of this car. I would be coming over from a unamed (in order to protect the innocent from flame wars) great, almost brand-new, almost 400 hp car that handles very well, rides nice, can cruise at 120 mph without breaking a sweat but whose company has made some dubious choices in vehicle production (leading up to, but opposite of this car) resulting in their ultimate demise. But the car was universally touted in the auto press as fantastic car & a great value for the $$. But now it's the fantastic child of dead parents.

Which is why I'm now looking at another great cost to value car, the GC coupe. Which is also getting great (and some a little mysterious) reviews in all the raggs/blogs. I really, really like it. Handling is great. Acceleration is okay, but enough to keep me interested, I think. Interior is in some ways much better, and in some ways not quite as good. I think I will really miss doing 4.8 0-60s (great tune, bolt-ons). Any reasons why a semi-reformed muscle car guy will hate OR love the GC? Getting close to making a purchase....

Let me take a stab, 09 Challenger RT?

Pulling the trigger on one next week myself.

The only things that spring to mind is the fuel economy may be too good (jab jab) and you may get razzed a bit initially by your muscle car buddies for buying a Hyundai (there's a surprising amount of hate out there).

I'm assuming you're talking about the GTO or possibly the G8. either one is a bit heavier than the GC and as far as i know, there is going to be a decent amount of aftermarket support for the GC, especially the 2.0T. So i think that you'll be very happy with this car, especially if you're into modding cars and all. personally, i plan on getting a 2.0T very soon and making it a personal project/toy for e to play with/build. if you have a similar mindset then i think you'll love this car. GC=modern 2g Eclipse
