So I have the 14 speaker system...In all honesty it's the best sounding stock system I have ever owned. I can live with most everything, except the bass.
The subwoofer is obviously free air into the trunk and just runs out of thump. Ok, easy enough, add one. But I don't really want to make a box and lose the depth of the trunk or lose my pass thru door. So then I get thinking about the spare tire well...that thing is H.U.G.E.
But then I am thinking the sub needs a hole in the deck/mat/"cargo tray" thingy, so I don't like that. And then I notice the area behind the wheel well and start looking at a fiberglass enclosure.
I have never done one and at first glance it's exciting and dangerous. God knows I don't want to get resin on anything, the time it would take to build it...etc.
Anyone have experience with these? Easy? Hard? How much room do you think there is that corner??? I have a 10" sub, 500 watt amp and a LCQ-1 sitting around...
