  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have the XD(M) 4.5 Black/Stainless 9mm and my wife has the XD Sub-compact. We love them. S&W is great also.

On topic:

No one here is wishing problems on anyone. All I've read and contributed here is information.

If you've personally had your IROC for 26 years, then I'm glad you're enjoying it. I wish I still had my GTA!

Again, if off-the-shelf cleansers work for you, great! Please don't assume it works for everyone else.

If you really want to have it done, purchase a bottle of Chevron Techron from any auto-parts or discount store and follow the directions on the bottle. That is what your dealer would do for the $189.

A lot of dealers use Seafoam.

Chevron Techron is the same fluid that Hyundai uses with a Hyundai label. Check the site below for Hyundai technical service bulletins and you will see the shape of the Techron bottle.

I use it with every oil change. Note, one bottle is supposed to treat 16 gallons. I think this is conservative, and our tanks are bigger than 16 gallons. So, I use at least two bottles. Costco sells it, and it is cheap.

With mileage, there is an inherent problem with fuel injected motors - the idle air control, which can gum up. When it does the motor surges rpm on cold start. Techron helps cure this problem.

This seems like the place to ask this, i've posted on a couple different sites, i'm looking for opinions on Hyundai transmissions. is it better to do a flush or a drain and fill? any benefits or risks to either. any feedback is appreciated.
Yes change fluid. Just replaced transmission at 98k. Convinced fluid was low but without a dipstick you can’t tell. Highly recommend draining and replacing fluid periodically.

The 86 IROC Z 305 H.O. TBI only produces 285 lb ft of torque where as the Genesis coupe 2013-2016 v6 makes 295 lb ft. Also, hp was 190 on the camaro and the Genesis is 348.
