  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
I have a 2009 4.6 sedan. A noise jas developed from behind the dash that is driving me crazy. It becomes more noticeable in cold weather. It's an intermittent clicking/ticking/scratching noise and seems road vibration induced. The source seems to be behind the dash below the steering wheel shaft. Sounds like something loose and scraping or striking metal on metal. I've considered it possibly being a bad speedometer cable, but in google searching I can't even figure out if it has a speedo cable. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Mine has 200,000 miles and is still running astoundingly well. Hoping to put another 200K on it, but I've gotta nip that aggravating sound in the bud.
