Tinting Tail Lights...Opinions Please

My back hurts just looking at those cars with very low aspect-ratio tires.

I have wrenched my back a time or two with my old car and a nice big pot hole....

I was actually thinking on just tinting the clear portion of the tail lights....but i'm scared i will have to pay another fee of $350 for tinted taillights in cali.....which btw i got it on my other car...

I dunno if tinting the clear portion only is illegal or not...anyone know about this?

So, we discussed in here about me tinting my tail lights. We agreed that I wouldn't, then I said fcuk all of you and did it anyway! I used a 90% film. The pictures will speak for themselves:

Very nice! not too dark and not too light. just enough to get rid of the over-redness of the housings. (if that makes any sense. lol)

It totally does. That is why I chose this film. I have a buddy who is a film vendor for this stuff, but he only had the dark and I knew I didn't want that

Looks perfect! Very clean and oem like. I was thinking of removing my tint and just doing the clear part tinted and leave the red bare. I wonder if that would look good..

Maybe on yours it would. The black would help it blend. But DEF not on mine lol
