^^^^ Hahahahaha. I have always hated tinted headlights. Thats so stupid. We all pay money to see better and they pay to see worse.

I tend to agree with you. Riding a motorcycle, I do everything in my power to ensure I am SEEN, so I guess that spills over into my 'driving'. I'm 55 and don't have anything to prove to the world...LoL...been there, done that, and have a closet full of t-shirts to prove it...

Sounds par for the course. I'm sure they made a note in your file that you "inquired about the warranty with regards to exhaust mods" and you're on the RADAR now....

Probably not because all they said was "call your dealership and ask them". The warranty company couldn't help me find and ear in a corn field.

not sure if your tinting places will carry this, but on my previous cars, i've done grey 3m tint on all my taillights. Its the same material they use on headlight when you get it 3m'd, but has a light grey tint to it. Gives it a very oem look, and not that cheap painted look. I'm getting it done today, so i will post pics, heres what it looked like on my old cars:

Sorry, can't get into 'tinting' tail lights. Or headlights....LoL...I think if were 'cool' the manufacturers would offer it as an option, but it would expose them to LIABILITY issues.

actually some mercedes do come from factory with the clear portion of their taillights tinted very lightly. I never liked the bright clear portions of any taillights, seems very out of place on most cars. However i hate it also when people tint their tailights black to the point where you can barely see the lights when lit. Thats why i went with the 3m grey tint. Its so light that it looks stock.

Yea you MUST be careful, cause there might be some gang banger in the car behind you, with TINTED headlights, and a blacked out windshield, and wearing sunglasses at night....I shudder at the scenario but it's possible...

I have pretty much abandoned modding this car. Just OEM deck lid spoiler, some paint under the hood. And maybe some wheels...not sure yet.

I got it done when i was getting my windows tinted. Its some type of 3m film with grey tint. When i first got it i was worried since it was called grey tint, but came out great. Not sure where you can purchase the film, i'll ask my tint guy

I'm a fan of doing it right the first time. Modding is about making your car original. Few dare to be truly original. I don't like the finish of tails that are nightshaded - and tinting doesn't allow a high level of customization.

Take a look at the TL-S in this picture. It's a prime example of how being slightly smoked from the inside can look different, but still retain the OEM luminescence of the LED lights.
