Excellent. I'll give it a try. The RAP time is limited so this appears to be a neat trick to keep the electronics on for say, continuing a conversation while using handsfree.

I should have explained that it is to keep the music or phone going while shutting off the engine. Specifically I use it while getting gas here in Jersey - I can continue to enjoy my music since I don't have to get out and fiddle with the gas. Nice on these cold days!

This stuff will stay on for a while anyway but it will shut off after a few minutes unless the car is in ACC.

Or you can just turn your car off normally, and press the start button without your foot on the brake, and it goes to ACC, without ever actually going off. (It says off initially, but radio is still on, and no "reboot cycle".)

I also use this to keep the radio on longer than a minute, or when I will open the door.

Another Hint about the Cruise Control:

When you push the Cruise Control button, the Smart Cruise is started. You can adjust the distance, speed and etc.
If you press the button for "Adjust Distance" more than 2-3 sec, the normal Cruise Control is launched. This means that you don't have the auto breaking systems and the distance meter.

Anyone know of a way to change the phone Contacts display so that it shows the Last name 'first'?

I can go into Settings on my phone, my other vehicles, or desktop at home and choose Last name/First name/Alpha/etc.

If there is a setting for this on the Genesis, then I'm overlooking it. (my normal state when it comes to the tech world)

I wasn't responding to the OP - I was responding to the question of leaving a car in neutral while refueling (bad idea).

My Optima was the same way. You could also put the car in park and keep the button depressed while shutting the car off and it would stay in accessory mode too (this involved some some arm-twisting though). Not sure if this works in the Genesis yet.
