  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a new 2020 G70 and I am trying to change my winter tires (no TPMS) to summer tires (with TPMS). The dealership says they will charge me extra $30 compared to normal tire change cost due to 're-programming' the TPMS when changed to summer tires.

Could anyone advise if this is a reasonable labour? Do you need to 're-program' TPMS everytime you change to summer tires from winter tires? Thank you!

Cost seems reasonable, just not sure why the difference in summer/winter. Another person posted saying his winter tires required less pressure. This says more.

If you didn't have sensors in the winter wheel/tire assemblies and you ran all winter with a tpms warning, I would think the car will recognize the oem set of wheels/tires.No reprogramming should be needed.
