  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Tire Recall Confusion

Good to know, thanks for the information @jsmit86, my car came with the MXM4s so I'm assuming the recall has been done already, plus the person who owned the car only did 9k miles the 2 years she had it. Next set it will be the dws06 or the pilot sport AS3+, from what I'm reading the AS3+ edges out the dws06 by jut a bit but some doesn't like its harshness.

Hi All,

I originated this thread. Really didn't get anywhere with your suggestions(but all were appreciated), so yesterday I bit the bullet and let Hyndai dealer put on the Michelins per recall notice. Some of you said they were fine. Hopefully I will be in that category.

If I have a problem with Michelins, I will keep on reporting.

I still love my 2015 Gen2 with the tech package

Thank you all, again,

Harwax

Are you saying that you have lived with those original tires for 3 models years? They've been on recall for a loooooong time. Now you are getting brand new tires at no cost to you. Just how many years/miles do you expect to reap from both sets of tires?

How long I owned the original tires has nothing to do with getting new tires on this recall.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I lease my '15 (played 4 locals dealers against each other and drove them nuts until December 29th, put no money down and pay $346/month - really don't want to go through that hassle again, however) and had no desire to bother with the replacement as my Hankook tires were just fine, but after deciding to buy it post-lease next month, I had the Michelin's installed at Discount Tire. After all, a loaded '15 Genesis with 23k miles, which has been garaged every night and flawlessly maintained (by me)- and will be under full warranty for the next two years - AND a new set of tires - for $24k?? No brainier. And the Michelin's have been smooth as glass.

If by fully loaded you mean the Ultimate package, that is a good price. I got that much for trade a month ago with 39,000 miles. Dealer is asking 27k for it.

Yes, Ultimate. I've leased 6 cars and this is the only one I'm buying afterwards. I can't find a logical reason not to. Oil changes - and the new tires - and that's been it. Been a wonderful car so far.
