  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My GV70 EV has horrible traction especially in cold weather and different road surfaces

Does it come with the Michelin Primacy tires? That is what I have on my GV60P and I plan to move to Michelin Pilot tires when I wear down the Primacies (either the Pilot 4s or All season). That should make the tires stickier. The Primacy, IMO, are good tires but are oriented for wear and softness, not stickiness.

I was planning on the Pilot summer tires but recently the early morning temperature here has reached 31. While it did warm up to the high 60s/low 70s later in the day, I am not sure I want to chance summer tires when I have read that the fall off in performance for the Pilot all season tires is very minimal.

Thanks. I think the basic issue is they put Michelin High Performance on the 24 ,70EV.
They just don’t do the job in snot and terrible with a trace of ice. The car is leased and don’t wNt to spring for all season

I agree. Terrible in snot.

Average in snow.
😏😂

There is only one solution...all season tires are now called 3 season tires for a reason. If you live where it snows, snow tires are needed. They are becoming mandatory in many parts of Canada.

Agreed! If you live and drive where it snows, then you either own two sets of tires, or you must have a loyalty card with a local tow company and a body shop.

The Tire Rack review of the OEM tires is pretty spot on. Not a standout at anything. I won't be using them again and likely moving to Conti LX25 tires.
