  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I put milestar tires when my 14 ultimate reach 68700 miles. Unfortunately it has 13% trand life when it comes to 80k miles. I am wondering if it is normal or abnormal.

Did the tires wear evenly? If not, it could be an alignment issue.

The Milestar tires only have a 40k mile treadlife warranty, and with them being staggered, that is cut in half, so really, only 20k miles. Who is telling you that you have 13% treadlife left? Another tire shop? Doubt the shop you bought them from will tell you they are worn out before they should be because they will then have to deal with doing a warranty on them. Or, another shop is telling you this because they want to sell you tires.

Typically on these staggered tires on the Hyundai and Genesis, you'll get 5-10k more miles out of the front than you will the rear. So, doubtful you need all 4, unless there is an alignment issue.

I have a 2011 Genesis and an 2014 Equus. The Continental tires on both go down to replacement level in about 30k miles. They are rotated regularly. The are the pro-contact model of tires with the "DWS" markings. I have switched over to Michelin this month, so I will find out if those last longer.
