  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Took a 3000 mile trip in my new to me 2015 5.0 and it really performed flawlessly. Ran between 70 and 90 from Dallas to Lakewood, WI. Coming back hit a small pot hole about a mile from the house and got a flat tire. Was able to make it home before it went completely flat in the driveway. I'll have to take a look at that in the morning. So I've had my car for less than a month and put 4000 miles on it. Checked the oil about every other gas stop and didn't look like I used any.

Congrats on your new 5.0 and a successful road trip adventure. Yet them damn pot holes(!); sorry about the tire. Probably want to have that rim checked for trueness after that. Did that in my Audi last year and sure 'nuff did damage to the rim after blowing the tire.

What tires are you running? Whom is your dealer?

Just bought the car and the dealer had put on Nexen N7000 tires. They rode pretty decent honestly except with too much air they track the grooves in the road. I've had Continentals and pilot sports on other cars and these were just as quiet and seemed decent in the rain. I don't push my cars too much so can't comment on extreme performance.

Pulled the wheel off the car this morning and I have a hole in the sidewall but the wheel looks ok. Now just have to find a replacement.
